Delcarmen takes the mound as the field is reshuffled. Sizemore walks. Carroll is out but sends Sizemore to 2nd. Delcarmen takes out Choo.
One strike away at a full count.
And the Sox win their first game with me in the stands!

Pedroia makes an awesome catch and throw on a grounder to take out the first batter of the inning. We all ignored the 2nd out in favor of the Wave That Worked. The Indians are retired in short order.
Sweet Caroline brings some energy back to Fenway Park as Youkilis comes up to bat, but Perez strikes him out on his ninth pitch.
Bailey takes a triple that just misses the home run line on the Monster. Kotsay’s double sends him home to give the Sox a one run lead (5-4).
Perez intentionally walks Tek (which is a WTF). Lowrie comes in to pinch hit for Carter as the Indians confer at the mound, keeping Perez in. Lowrie singles, but Tek is out at 2nd. Cora is up, so needless to say that ended the inning quickly.

The 7th was looking like more of the same. Aardsma is in to replace Timlin with a man at 1st and one out.
A double play gives the crowd some hope.
Cora isn’t exactly what we were hoping for, though. Ellsbury breaks his bat with no help there.
Pedroia hits and just beats the ball to 1st, bringing Ortiz up. Pedroia steals 2nd, but Papi strikes out.

Timlin comes in to replace Byrd. The only excitement is a minor scuffle in the next section.
Garko flies out to start the inning. Barfield out at first. Van Every slips ensuring Sizemore gets to 1st. Timlin takes care of business with Carroll.
Kotsay got a nice hit but the Indians get a nice catch. Same with Tek. And Carter brings us nothing.
Game is still tied at the close of the 6th.

Choo bats to 1st. Peralta singles, two on. Martinez sends Choo home to tie things up before a double play. Francisco out at 1st.
Looks like Byrd needs to go…this tie thing sucks after the promising 1st inning.
Papi grounds out at first. Youk is out on a lucky catch. Van Every can’t check his swing and strikes out.

Drew is out of the game, replaced with Van Every, who catches out 1.
Byrd puts away Barfield, but Sizemore doubles. Carroll is out on some good fielding to end the top.
Carter strikes out.
Cora out at 1st.
Ellsbury singles so we’ve got someone on! Pedroia hits, but Ellsbury is out at 2nd. Booo!

Error from Drew gets Carroll to 3rd.
Another error gets him home and Choo to 2nd.
And Choo comes home.
3-4 at the bottom.
Drew singles.
Double play takes him and Kotsay out.
Ten strikes out to end the inning.

Okay, the second wasn’t as awesome. We gave up a run and made no headway. Here’s hoping for the third!

4-0 after an inning that took us all the way through the line up. Sox are kicking ass! (my boy among them!). This might finally be that winner for me. Cleveland is going down. Byrd is bringing it for us.

I’m finally getting my chance to go to a Red Sox game for the first time this season. I’m psyched that they clinched a spot in the playoffs last night, but I hope they don’t throw away the rest of the regular season games!

At least, I’m gonna run with that since he just batted Lowrie in. Go Tek!

There was something heartwarming about watching Pedroia’s grand slam send our boy Tek chugging home at the head of the pack tonight. With his average inching back up, what do you think? Is his slump over? Two wins against the Yankees on their turf has to do all our hearts good, especially our players (especially when you see their sold out stadium half empty in the 8th!). I think the Sox could still pull something good out of their hats for us this season.
(Okay, yeah, maybe I’m counting my chickens…the game isn’t even over yet…but c’mon, it’s 11-2…the Sox have gotten 7 runs in this inning alone and then one-two-three’d the Yanks!)
